Amazon Discounts These Garmin Smartwatches by Up to $242 Ahead of Valentine’s Day

There are only a few days left before Valentine’s Day and you still don’t know what to get your partner? Well, you can never go wrong with a watch, and that’s even more true for a stylish smartwatch. There are plenty of wearables out there that not only look great but are also immensely functional, and here are a couple that we think would be great Valentine’s Day gifts for him or her: The Garmin Venu and Fenix 5X Sapphire. Save as much as $243 when you get them on Amazon today.

Garmin Venu — $300, was $350

The Venu is the very first Garmin smartwatch to flaunt a full AMOLED touchscreen display, a move that’s clearly set to rival the Apple Watch. A huge departure from the usual LCD screen of its previous smartwatches, the Venu looks brighter, sharper, and more vibrant — hands down the best display that Gamin has offered to date. Packed with 390 x 390 pixels, the 1.2-inch (30.4mm) touchscreen is easier to read regardless of whether you’re indoors or outdoors. What’s more, Garmin has designed it not to be a power hog, as the Venu can last up to five days with normal usage.

Aesthetically, this watch resembles the Vivoactive 3 (except for the screen, of course), but the bezels are noticeably thinner. Its plastic polymer case has a diameter of 43mm, which is neither too large nor too small, making it ideal for both sexes. Aside from the touchscreen, there are two physical buttons located on the right side for navigation.

All Garmin smartwatches excel in fitness tracking, and the Venu definitely excels in that department. Pressing the top physical button will allow you to see a list of sports and activities, including running, treadmill, indoor and outdoor walking/running, cycling, swimming, cardio, strength, golf, skiing/snowboarding, and even stand-up paddleboarding. Furthermore, these exercises are brought to vivid life via colorful animations, so you can carry out steps and instructions by imitating a human figure on the display. The Venu employs the same set of algorithms that power the premium Fenix line, ensuring extremely accurate tracking for less money. Aside from the workouts, this smartwatch can also track steps, calories burned, body battery (how ready you are for exercise), stress level, sleep, respiration, pulse ox (though take note that continuous pulse ox tracking can rapidly deplete battery life), and VO2 Max.

When it comes to smart notifications, the Venu is pretty standard. All notifications from your favorite apps have their own live section on the interface. It’s worth noting that this watch is better optimized for Android, though. Android users have the ability to reply to text messages; iPhone users can’t. Music apps that the Venu supports include Spotify, Deezer, Amazon Music, and iHeartRadio. And if you happen to be a Spotify Premium subscriber, you’re in luck. It’s easy to sync your offline playlists with this watch, so you can leave your phone at home if you want to.

The Gamin Venu normally costs $350, but right now you can get it on Amazon for $300 – that’s $50 worth of savings.

Garmin Fenix 5X Sapphire — $357, was $600

The Garmin Fenix 5X Sapphire is ideal for fitness nuts who track their athletic pursuits down to the smallest details. It is a big, burly watch and looks almost exactly like its predecessor, the Fenix 3 HR. It sports the same round face, five-button layout, and stainless-steel bezel. This watch is protected by Sapphire glass (hence the name), which is twice as hard as standard glass thus making it extremely durable. It is water-resistant to depths of up to 100 meters so you can take it with you while swimming, snorkeling, and even scuba-diving.

This smartwatch is packed to the brim with features. It has an optical heart monitor on the back for tracking your heart rate, which comes in handy in determining when to bring your pace up or slow it down when you work out. It also includes pre-configured apps for keeping tabs on numerous sports, including cycling, walking, hiking, running, swimming, snowboarding, skiing, stand-up paddling, rowing, and even golf. Track your improvement by connecting the Fenix 5X to another device through Bluetooth or uploading your data to Garmin’s online fitness community.

The main draw of the Fenix 5X is its unique onboard GPS maps. It allows you to search for the best training routes and plan them more easily. It also provides you with comprehensive directions and an array of useful information. And while you’re on foot or on the road, you can search for local points of interest. Never worry about getting lost and have fun enjoying little detours with this thing on your wrist.

Powered by a lithium-ion battery, the Fenix 5X can last a formidable two weeks with four or five tracked activities per week. Charging it back to 100{8c54160eed80eb00ac4f5d74c8785e95142d89daf570f201b81dc7fdc31059f3} takes less than two hours.

Garmin Fenix 5X Sapphire usually comes with a hefty $600 price tag, but right now you can purchase it on Amazon for a whopping $243 less. Get it for $357 and what’s more, if you pay via the Amazon Rewards Visa card and get approval, you’ll enjoy an additional $50 off instantly, bringing the price down to $307.
