Late 2019 was a rollercoaster of emotions with vivo launching new phones – we saw the arrival of one vivo V17, a non-Chinese vivo S1 Pro, and a vivo Y9s. However, all three phones are exactly the same, just renamed for different markets.
Now this very same handset has appeared at the Australian retailer JB Hi-Fi under a fourth different name – vivo X50 Lite.
This vivo X50 Lite brings nothing new to the table – a Snapdragon 665 chipset, a 6.38 AMOLED screen and a fingerprint scanner under the display. The SoC is coupled with 8 GB RAM and 128 gigs of storage, but it is expandable through the microSD slot.
The four shooters on the back are aligned in a diamond-shaped setup, with the main snapper being 48 MP, another 8 MP ultra-wide-angle cam for good measure, and two 2 MP snappers – one for macro shots, the other for background blur. The selfie cam is 16 MP.

The vivo X50 Lite arrives with a 4,500 mAh battery, Android 10 with FuntouchOS 10 on top. JB Hi-Fi is offering the phone for immediate checkout in two colors – Nebula Blue or Jade Black, with the price being AUD499 ($322/300).
