Last month Honor announced two phones out of the blue – Honor Play 4T and Honor Play 4T Pro. These devices have basic specs, low prices and are currently available only in China.
Today, a third device of the family leaked on Weibo and JD.com – the Honor Play 4 Pro. It will have a Kirin chipset with 5G, 40W fast charging, and an LCD screen. It will also have a Sony IMX600y sensor for its main camera.

The SoC is likely Kirin 820 since it supports both the fast-charging speeds and the 5G connectivity. The Honor 4 Play Pro has an interesting accent on its back with the Kirin logo, which is something this brand has never done before. It also has some gaming aesthetics with the different layers and shades of blue but it is way too early to know whether this will be a gaming smartphone.
The phone will have four cameras – two on the back, and two more on the front. The front-facing cameras will be in a punch hole on the upper left side of the screen. This being an LCD panel, the fingerprint scanner couldn’t fit underneath so it made its way to the side, doubling as a power key.

The images on JD.com also reveal there will be a speaker on the bottom, next to the USB-C port and SIM tray, but no 3.5 mm audio jack.
