Week 12 in review: Nokia 8.3 5G is here, Apple brings out new iPad Pros

HMD unveiled four devices this week, most interesting among them being the globe-trotting Nokia 8.3 5G, which packs a Snapdragon 765G, quad camera, 6.81-inch LCD and will go on sale at €599 this summer.

HMD also resurrected yet another old classic – the Nokia 5310 XpressMusic, with an MP3 player, stereo speakers and a price tag of just €39, when it launches later this month.

We also heard of Realme’s new phone family Narzo. There will be two phones under the new branding – the Narzo 10 and Narzo 10A. The Narzo 10 looks like a regional variant of the Realme 6i, also unveiled this week.

The Realme 6i packs a 5,000mAh battery and will launch in Myanmar from March 29 (pre-orders start March 18), starting at KS249,900 ($180/€160).

The Huawei P40 series is fast-approaching and the leaks have been accumulating the past few days. Arriving on March 26, the P40, P40 Pro and P40 Pro Premium Edition appeared in images showing their fronts and backs. All three devices will have a dual-selfie punch hole camera on the front and come in a variety of colors on the rear – the Premium Edition has a ceramic back in white or black, while the P40 and P40 Pro will come in five colors.

The Redmi K30 Pro has been all over the news these past few days. Redmi itself is slowly revealing details about the upcoming flagship – the colors, details about the two 64MP cameras on the rear, the display, the storage (UFS 3.1) and the performance. The Redmi K30 Pro is coming by the end of the month.

Apple announced a few devices. There’s a new MacBook Air with double the storage, a new scissor-switch Magic Keyboard to replace the bothersome Butterfly-based switches of old, and the option of a quad-core Intel i5 CPU.

More excitingly however are two new iPad Pros – the 11 and 12.9 models get a new A12Z SoC with an eight-core CPU and a new eight-core GPU. Both also get a new Magic Keyboard accessory, which adds a keyboard and a trackpad to the iPad.

Apple also showed iOS 13.4 and iPadOS 13.4 (with the new trackpad abilities) – both launching on March 24.

Those were the biggest stories of the week. Check out the full list below and see you in a week!
