HOW TO RENT OUT YOUR HOLIDAY HOME ON AIRBNB

Do you own a beautiful holiday apartment or villa in Dubai and don’t know what to do with it? Of course, selling it would be the answer to all of your problems, but is it worth it? Remember it’s still your holiday home so why don’t you start obtaining some profit from it at any time of the year just by putting it for rent on a website like Airbnb? This would become an extra income that you can certainly take some advantage of.

So stop looking for villas for sale in Dubai or off plan property in Dubai unless it is to invest in them so you can get some profit out of it. Dubai real estate agencies recommend the rental real estate market to all of those entrepreneurs that are looking forward to receiving high ROI from their investments.

Although, something you should know is that you can’t just upload some pictures of your property on Airbnb, put some data about it and that’s it. There are some regulations you must follow so you get the best out of it. Here are some tips for you:

1. FOLLOW HOSTING ETIQUETTE

Airbnb and many of these holiday rental platforms have some inquiries or standards that you must comply with. Ranging from communications to cleanliness, you must cover all of the essentials for your host like towels, soap, toilet paper, etc.

These aren’t exactly “rules” that the site imposes to their subscribers, but they have a lot of influence on your credibility as a host.

2. SAFETY IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY

You have to make sure that your place is safe and it should be ready for any kind of emergencies. You should include one or two first-aid kits and also a list of emergency numbers including the closest hospital in the area.

3. PERMITS MIGHT BE REQUIRED

Most cities require that hosts apply for permits and registrations to legally rent out the property, and Dubai isn’t the exception. You might also have to pay some kind of fee, so be sure of looking very carefully into it so you don’t get in to any trouble in the future.

4. HOA AND CO-OP RULES MIGHT APPLY

You can’t get rid of homeowners associations and co-ops. There are certain areas where there are no rules at all, but, on the other hand, there are others that have just too many, so be sure you get to know the area’s regulations regarding short-term rentals.
